Pollen Rx, “Sand In The Well”

A punk gem.

Austin’s garage/art/punk collective Pollen Rx – comprised of the expanded group of Ben Hirsch, Maud Morgan, Caroline Sallee, and Ryan King – has been revving up to release their debut album, Sunbelt Emptiness, in early 2017. But while we wait for the quartet’s sound to be available for purchase, we’ve got a brand new stunner from them for you, the premiere of their single “Sand In The Well”.

Frantic guitar leads us into a punk gem riddled with the crashing of cymbals and instrumentals so overbearing that it’s almost impossible to hear the lyrics without very deep concentration. The vocals are quirky – squeaky at points – and hint at some Modest Mouse influence. We’re big fans.

Sunbelt Emptiness is out January 27th via ATHRecords. It is available for preorder now.
