Taft Mashburn, “Touch”

Sophie Kemp

In his new single “Touch,” Austin-based singer songwriter Taft Mashburn uses simple guitar and piano to create a world that is tender and rich. Recorded after the artist spent nearly five months in seclusion in rural Vermont, “Touch” is full of ethereal and poetic lyrics and sweeping melodies.
“Touch” is a meditative love song that feels and sounds soothing. Taft‘s vocals are warm and nod to both pop and ballad centric folk music. The track is ideal winter music, a perfect byproduct of Taft‘s time in Vermont.
