Belle Adair “Rest Easy”

Virginia Croft

Belle Adair combines soothing vocals with hoppy instrumentals, soaking their music with sunshine and optimism– just what everyone could use a spoonful of this frigid winter. Produced by Tom Shick (Wilco, Parquet Courts, Real Estate), “Rest Easy” encourages listeners to know that better times are coming– it’s their contribution to the positive change occurring in their Alabama community, where they’re experiencing a surge of DIY and grassroots initiatives, amidst the election of Doug Jones.

Activism is a core part of Belle Adair. The band recently donated proceeds from album sales to three human rights organizations in the wake of the Charlottesville events this summer. From FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, “Rest Easy” is the result of teamwork and a willingness to seek change.

Keep up with Belle Adair here, and listen to their latest record, Tuscumbia.
