Hannibal Buress’ Animal Furnace Premiere Party at Knitting Factory

To celebrate the release of his hour long comedy special titled Animal Furnace, comedian/writer Hannibal Buress threw a party at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory on Sunday, May 20 featuring sets by comedians Amy Schumer, Donald Glover, Morgan Murphy and Aziz Ansari.

How did Buress come up with the name of his first special? Well, he didn’t. Someone via Twitter suggested “Animal Furnace” since it rhymes with his name. The comedy sets were followed by a screening of his documentary A Week To Kill, showing the hour long Animal Furnace special and the season premiere of “The Eric Andre Show” on Adult Swim. And if that wasn’t enough for a Sunday night, the show closed with a late night performance by Brooklyn’s hip-hop punk group Ninjasonik. Photos of Ninjasonik were taken by photographer Rafe Baron.
