Unknown Instructors takes the Minutemen's rhythm section (Mike Watt and George Hurley) and Sacharrine Trust's front man and guitarist (Jack Brewer and Joe Baiza) and throws together some goofy jazz-punk fusion, but if you're listening to it, you probably already love Watt and the Minutemen and maybe even SST bands at large too much to ever draw a line past which Watt-wankery goes too far. I just love that Raymond Pettibon has lyrical credit for a song on their new album FUNLAND, and presumably is behind the mic on the track:
