Brisbane dream pop maestro shares gorgeous new psych-tinged single
RINSE, the dreamy, shoegazy pop project from Brisbane musician Joe Agius, returns with the gorgeous new psych-tinged single “Does It Feel Like Heaven?” – out today via Music Website. Following his 2021 EP Wherever I Am, the new single was co-produced with Jeremy McLennan (with some extra help from Australian vaporwavers Satin Sheets) and features backing vocals from his close collaborator Hatchie.
“Does It Feel Like Heaven?” is a kaleidoscopic slice of dream pop, with celestial synths and warped production giving it a nicely zoned-out psychedelic kick. It’s a wistful, transportive track that’ll make you feel like you’re floating in the clouds – right in that RINSE sweet spot that recalls the nostalgic new wave of acts like Chapterhouse and Pale Saints, with a kick of Pond-like psych-pop magic.
