Killing Joke bassist dies

Paul Raven, bass player for Killing Joke, died in Geneva on Saturday. He was 46 years old. Along with his contribution to the seminal UK post-punk outfit considered a crucial influence over 90s grunge and hard rock acts, Raven wrote with Ministry, Godflesh, Prong, Pigface, Murder Inc, and Amen, among others.

Jaz Coleman and Geordie Walker of Killing Joke stated:

We are all deeply stricken with grief at the unannounced departure of possibly the funniest man on planet Earth and a brother to us all. Paul Vincent Raven unimaginable sadness is felt by all.
