Portland’s Small Leaks Sink Ships have just signed to Lefse Records & gave us a view to their new material with the single “Window” that provides a privy view to the vulnerable emotions & feelings of the interior in an unfiltered kind of way. That emotive tone grows with every lyrical delivery that continues to swing hi & lo with every note that grabs at the most guarded of sentimental sections & inward held archives of memories & thought. Jim Mandel Jr., Judd Hancock, London Van Rooy & Ryan Garner shared with us the following exclusive introduction to “Window” with some reflective words in a paragraph blurb on it’s inception & inspiration:

“Window” was originally the ending to Snowball Fight Attack Formations, but we felt that in the end they were two very different songs that deserved their own platforms. Unfortunately, Window became a B side and didn’t see the light of day…until now. This track is about wanting to know the unknown and the frustrations that come along with the search for that. The lyrics were a one time on the spot take that ended up being about that subject in all facets of life.
