In celebration of Independence and Freedom, Atmosphere released a free EP over the weekend. It's not quite BBQ music, but it's another fantastic freebie by the duo from the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Hopefully this is not a spoiler, but I had to re-listen to De La Soul's “Millie Pulled a Pistol on Santa” to fully comprehend Atmosphere's “Millie Fell Off The Fire Escape'' as it is an official part two of the story. Slug can be commended for pulling off a convincing chapter to a classic story. In retrospect, it did leave me empty never knowing how Millie did or did not get away with killing Dillion.
I can't say enough about this song. The production similarities are cold blooded in authenticity. This version of the Millie story gave me the same chilled feeling as the original did years ago.
