Philadelphia's Kite Party, without realizing it, are filling a hole that was left when Arches packed up their guitars for other projects. The sound on the latest, “Halflife”, is just as dreamy as the other Philly locals but with a hint more sincerity and heart, giving the band room to breathe and shine with their reverbed guitars that touch the surface just lightly enough. It's heartfelt and dreamy and shows Kite Party at their ethereal best.
The record, Come On Wondering, will release on Animal Style Records on May 6.
