San Diego indie/math rock trio drops lead single off upcoming LP Possession Arrow

Rising San Diego band Positioner – comprised of guitarist George Pritzker, drummer Drew Pelisek and bassist Jake Kelsoe – have dropped latest single “Vines,” off their forthcoming album Possession Arrow.

The track is a laid-back, zoned-out slice of math-infused indie rock, complete with ’90s-style emo and math rock riffage, pulsating rhythms, and assured vocals. The track ebbs and flows in a breezy manner, ripe for repeat listens as the summer rolls on.

Meanwhile, the song’s music video – directed by Pritzker and Cole De La Isla – features the band performing and goofing around on a handball court in a park. It’s a perfectly sun-baked clip to go along with the track.
