San Diego indie pop-punk act soars on latest single

Over the last few years, San Diego has boasted a potent DIY scene that’s birthed plenty of awesome rising bands in the indie, pop-punk, garage, and emo spheres. One of the best of those up-and-comers has been Two Headed Girl, who has turned heads via a knack for rollicking pop-punk riffage and confessional lyricism.

Following last year’s Bouquet EP, last week Two Headed Girl dropped the new single and video “Grocery Store,” and it’s one of their best tracks yet. Frontwoman Carley Fischer absolutely stars on guitar and vocal duties, with power chords and lyrics that soar during a thrillingly catchy chorus. The song’s music video – created by Tommy English – features plenty of wacky grocery store shenanigans as well as shots of shopping cart riding mayhem at a local skatepark. It’s all very catchy, uptempo, and relatable stuff.
