NYC 1993: An Evening with Stretch and Bobbito at The New Museum

Post Author:

On Friday, Feburary 22nd, The New Museum hosted Hip Hop radio legends Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia who ruled the underground hip hop air waves for a decade with their highly influencial radio show. Leading the talk was Sacha Jenkins, one of the founders of the amazing ego trip magazine. The talk was presented as part of NYC 1993 which looks at art made in NYC over the course of 1993. The New Museum is free on Thursdays and it is highly recommended that you check it out. As an aside, the museum is open until 9 PM on Thursdays and offers free admission from 7 to 9 pm.

Someone was kind enough to upload video from the night so you can get a sense of what you missed. A very special thank you to Gabriel Einsohn for arranging our entry to this wonderful talk.
