Marmoset release new LP in July, offer compilation download for limited time

Five years after 2002's EP, Mishawaka, Marmoset is climbing out of indie obscurity for another LP release, Florist Fired out July 24th on Secretly Canadian.

With an occasionally slip into a subtlety Robert Smith-inflected British accent I'd call Blackpoolian if I knew what I was talking about and the synthetic, creepy dirges and lines like “I saw your shadow disappear”, the band sometimes sounds more early Goth than midwest indie. Other tracks, like “Luckcharm” reveal a rootsier source for their emotive, lush ballads.

Check out their full streaming album here. And a compilation of their “greatest hits” available for download for a limited time, here.
